Jan Malvin Brinkmann is an aspiring young director from Berlin, Germany. When discovering the family computer’s ability to edit videos, he started exploring the medium of film at the age of 11. Following his passion for music he started to work at a digital music magazine in Berlin, portraying artists and creating all sorts of video and photo-assets for them. After several months at the production powerhouse Markenfilm, Jan started his studies in Digital Media, gaining a broad view on media through working on interdisciplinary projects and with all sorts of different formats. He loves working on digital projects where the final film goes seamlessly hand in hand with everything else.
Today, Jan spends most of his time in Hamburg, Berlin and aboard the express train connecting the two cities. When not working on commissioned projects, he focuses on creating social impact with what he is good at: understanding others and telling their stories from new perspectives.
