Raphael Ghobadloo spent much of his childhood in front of the camera, acting in German films from the age of four until around 16. Working with Oliver Hirschbiegel, an Academy Award-nominated director, inspired him to pursue a career as a director. After finishing his high school diploma in 2008, he worked in various departments on professional film sets, while collaborating with the people he met there to make his own short films. He studied Oriental Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2011 but quit once he was accepted at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg to study directing fiction.
Today Raphael lives in Berlin, Germany and is available for projects worldwide. He specializes in films that involve working with actors.
