Originally from Germany, he began his career as a copywriter and creative at agencies like heimat and DDB, before transitioning behind the camera to direct his own films. Over the years, he’s developed a distinct voice that blends cinematic imagery, subtle humour, and emotional authenticity – working with global brands like Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Netflix, Brio, and Nivea.

While Bastian continues to direct live-action commercials and documentaries, he is now at the forefront of AI-driven filmmaking. As both director and prompter, he creates fully AI-generated films for clients – from concept development to image prompting, narrative structuring, and post-production. This hybrid approach allows him to combine real-world experience with cutting-edge technology, crafting visual stories that are as innovative as they are human.

His AI work is not a side experiment – it’s an evolving creative practice. Whether using AI to prototype ideas, develop full visual treatments, or produce final films, Bastian sees artificial intelligence as an extension of his directorial vision.

He lives on the Portuguese coast, where he splits his time between shaping the future of filmmaking and cooking for the people he loves.
