Melita Radočaj is Croatian AI filmmaker and art director based in Germany, working across film, advertising, fashion and experimental storytelling. She makes cinematic work with a strong sense of mood, timing and restraint. AI is part of her toolkit, but never the point. For Melita, it’s a slightly unruly collaborator, something to push, question and shape until it starts to feel human again.
Melita’s process is hands-on and iterative, spanning visual development, image creation, animation, editing and sound. By pushing tools to their limits, she explores the tension between control and unpredictability, turning machine-generated fragments into precise, emotionally grounded narratives with something honest slipping through. Melita works independently and is increasingly involved in narrative-led productions that value atmosphere over volume and intention over just noise.
